Each Lot Annually as of April 2, 2024, each lot owes $25.00 per year for the community amenities outlines in the governing documents. 09-11-2024 Update: We sent out 120-day late notices to those owners who still have not remitted their 2024 mandatory annual community due payment.
Every cent counts with a budgetary shortfall like the one we face as a community this year, and the board and other owners have contributed a lot, in many cases, more than their fair share, to continue the amenities offered to all owners. We thank those who have continued to support this community and any additional efforts. Thank you.
Also, all payments received towards the 2024 community dues income budget whether they were voluntary donations of a due or the mandatory due payment, a receipt reflecting everything to date was mailed out along with the boat ramp agreement that must along with confirmation of mandatory dues paid in full must be received back to the Assocation in order to get the updated boat ramp code that will be changed in October.
To be verified and obtain the new code, please allow for 48-72 hours for the following:
Cindy Riley, Treasurer 352-857-1988 (Text/Leave Voicemail)
to get back to you and provide that updated code information either by text message, email, or phone call.
Thank You,
Kristen Barnes, President
Silver Springs Village Property Owners Association, INC.
07-16-2024 Update: We are still waiting to confirm that we received any postmarked mail after July 15, 2024, the last due date to confirm that we had received any 30-day late payments on time before sending out a new late notice.
Thank You,
Kristen Barnes, President
Silver Springs Village Property Owners Association, INC.
06-16-2024 Update: As of June 16, 2024, any mandatory annual due payment not received via drop off in the free community drop box on or before June 15th or anything mailed to the community PO Box that was not post marked on or before June 15th is now considered 30 days late.
Those late notices were mailed out to those owner’s it applied to and included the $5.00 late fee per lot and the $0.45 State of Florida allowable interest accrued monthly for being late as well as the original $25.00 per lot invoiced for the 2024 Mandatory annual community due.
These late notices were not sent in error we waited until after the June 15th date to make sure anything mailed was post marked correctly but received later than June 15th.
Please remit that payment within the next 30-day period to not incur any further compounding interest on your 2024 Mandatory Due. This first late notice is due on or before July 15th in the community free drop box or mailed to the communities PO Box.
Thank You,
Kristen Barnes, President
Silver Springs Village Property Owners Association, INC.
Original Notice 05-15-2024: We have received multiple inquiries about the mandatory due invoice mailed out on May 10, 2024, along with the packet on the approved and recorded governing documents for all lots in Silver Springs Village as of April 2, 2024.
Please don’t worry about this notification if this has already been made clear or you have already paid.
The mandatory invoices were sent out on 05.15.24 and are due by 06.15.24, regardless of any voluntarily donated dues paid before April 2, 2024.
The approval became official on April 2, 2024, that is the reasoning behind the cut off from prior to afterward on any voluntary donated dues. The mandatory amount of $25.00 per lot was reflected on every invoice and is due by 6.15.24 for all lots by all owners.
No previous donations before April 2, 2024, can be applied or credited to a mandatory invoice.
In the financials tab of our website, our 2024 adopt community budget, reflects we have close to a $12,000 shortfall for this year, so along with the mandatory amount on the 05.15.24 invoice, please consider the voluntary suggestion (which is the total amount of the 2024 community budget shortfall divided by the number of lots in our communities Platt Map) found on your invoice for the community to be fully funded this year.
We have nothing but appreciation and thanks to all those owners who volunteered dues and therefore donated to maintain the community amenities and status quo during the close to 3 years of the revitalization process, and that was personally supported and maintained by our President’s Kristen Barnes’, family’s additional contributions to bridge the gap, as well as other generous owners who donated well above the amount of the voluntary due donations that allowed us to kept this community going for all owners because of that majority that supported Silver Springs Village, and its association.
Because all amenities and services were continued and never stopped or lost the mandatory invoice for the community’s annual dues were not prorated even though it was mailed out in May because for all of 2024 what those annual pays for was provided to all owners.
Now that we have the approval, all lots had to be invoiced regardless of previous donations. As you can see, our budget reflects the dire need for both that voluntary donation and the mandatory payment now due from all owners because any previous denotation was already reflected.
The board can only require what was allowed in those approved governing documents which is the mandatory amount of $25.00 per lot was reflected on every invoice and that is due by 6.15.24, but to keep this community owner-managed, we need to be able to cover our communities’ costs.
So we are asking that you please continue to support your neighborhood and community let us get this shortfall paid off in this year’s budget with both the mandatory due that is required per lot plus your first or an additional voluntary due donation so the community can move forward to the last part of this process, which is updating the governing documents and making dues equal for all lots and not having to continue operating on the donations of some.
Thank you to all owners for being so supportive of your neighborhood and of all of us on the SSVPOA BOARD.
Thank You,
Kristen Barnes, President
