Boat Ramp Information

The access code will be updated in October of 2024.

If your mandatory 2024 due payment and boat ramp agreement cannot be verified with the President or Treasurer, we cannot provide the owner the new code until those are on file and current with the Assocation. Please see the annual due tab dated 09-11-2024 update note for more information. The boat ramp agreement document was mailed, but an owner can also find that pdf attachment below (on this page) to print out, fill out completely, and mail or drop off by all owners to the Assocation. Thank you!

Waterway management and boat ramp information.

Please, abide by the posted rules that are displayed down at the boat ramp.

There is a combination lock on the gate and only SSV property owners can receive the code and use the boat ramp.

The code will change annually after the period of due payments are considered late and only those owners current can receive the updated combination code via email confirmation or text confirmation of a current owner’s on-file contact with the association.

The only time any guests or none listed household members can use this area is if the deeded property owner(s) are present and always with them.

FWC Permit 03.10.22-until-03.10.2025

Please, contact the SSVPOA email at ssvpoa@yahoo.com or text the President or Treasurer for the combination code because ownership has to be verified and once dues are invoiced have to be current and up to date to receive the annually updated code.

If you have questions or concerns about the maintenance or care of the boat ramp area or locks, contact Tim Santrock, secretary, at 757-344-1829 (text/leave voicemail).

Boat Ramp Usage Agreement

  1. The Boat Ramp access area, a crucial part of our community, may only be used by property owners who have maintained current annual dues to the Silver Springs Village Property Owner’s Association (SSVPOA). The SSVPOA Treasurer or President verifies yearly dues payments.
  2. Non-property owners cannot use the Boat Ramp without an SSVPOA-PAID member (deeded owner) present.
  3. Only SSVPOA members (deeded owners) in good standing (current on their annual mandatory due payments) may receive the gate lock combination or key for boat ramp access. Considering recent security concerns, the lock combination will be changed at least annually. The combination will be issued case-by-case to members (deeded owners), ensuring your safety and security.
  4. The gate must be locked after each entry and exit, including when a boater is out on the water and no longer at the ramp.
  5. The lock combination may not be given, sold, or transferred to any non-SSVPOA member (non-deeded owner). This includes any children, spouses, tenants, residents, friends, family members, renters, or partners. An SSVPOA member (deeded owner) must accompany any one of the listed non-SSVPOA members at the boat ramp and on the water.
  6. When you open the gate, you are responsible for any non-SSVPOA member attempting to access the area. Such attempts are to be reported to the SSVPOA Board and, if necessary, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
  7. Any misuse or damage to the boat ramp area, a shared resource, shall be reported to the SSVPOA Board and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office by any witness. Trespassers are subject to arrest and criminal charges. All parties deemed responsible for any damage will be held accountable through their boater’s insurance or personally for any labor and materials needed to repair the damage, emphasizing the importance of responsible use.
  8. Boat owners are solely responsible for safe boating practices. Swimming is prohibited in the ramp area or channel out to the lake.
  9. No boats or vessels should be stored or kept overnight in the boat ramp area. The marina area is off-limits and no longer in use. Until further notice, only launching from the boat ramp area is allowed.

Silver Springs Village’s governing documents set these rules and regulations necessitated by the insurance carrier of Silver Springs Village Property Owner’s Association (SSVPOA).

Any member (deeded owner) found to not comply with these rules as outlined and posted will, at the very least, lose access to the ramp area regardless of due payment status for the year. Multiple offenses could ban a member (deeded owner) completely.

Anyone found, witnessed, or asked for their member (deeded owner) status must comply with the request for the safety and security of all members (deeded owners).

Any person found breaking anything outlined in this written notification or any postings at the boat ramp regarding the rules will be held personally accountable by and not limited to Silver Springs Village Property Owner’s Association (SSVPOA), SSVPOA’s insurance carrier, and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
